This is the third and final part of Nora´s materity shoot in Athens (see part one and part two). We´ve been dreading the climb up to the Acropolis in the drenching heat, but it looks like the Greek Gods had mercy on us as on the morning of the shoot fluffy clouds covered the sky which made our trip up to the Acropolis much MUCH! easier. Nora is one pretty momma and her beautiful red dress in front of the ancient ruins became some of my favorite maternity shots to date. Can´t wait to go back and photograph their baby this fall! 😉

I´ve been fortunate to be able to spend the last week vacationing in Sardinia, Italy. It´s one of the most beautiful islands I´ve ever been to, from the stunning sandy beaches, to the crytal clear waters and lush environments. I really have to stop myself from constantly photographing everything around me and just relax and recharge. I haven´t been on a do-nothing vacation for a while and I´m loving every minute of it! Here is a little peek into my life these days. Enjoy!
Sometimes, despite your best intentions, things will just go south. Remember this fun summery inspiration board I showed you last week? After multiple reschedules due to the nasty Berlin “rainy season” we were finally looking forward to a sunny afternoon by a nearby lake. By the time we’ve arrived, clouds covered the sky, the beach has closed and raindrops started to fall. We tried to keep our spirits up and ventured out to the nearby park/forrest (with two baskets full of summery/navy props ;)) to take some picures. It´s not the summery/vacationey shoot we´ve planned, but the green of the forrest and the wet grounds gave this shoot a different but not less appealing feel. It was a great prep for fall photoshoots! 😉 The moral of the story as my “friend” Tim Gunn would say: Make it work! 😉
P.S: Isn´t Mici the cutest baby girl you´ve ever seen? She loved sitting in the French basket so much that we could hardly get her out of there! I told her mommy that she was born to be a model… watch out world! 😉
A few weeks ago I’ve showed you part one of the maternity session I shot in Greece and now I’m very excited to present part two to you, featuring some of my favorite images to date. In all fairness it’s probably hard to take a bad picture on a beautiful island like Spetses, especially if I’m photographing such a gorgeous momma-to-be as Nora. Yep, this is definitely one of those situations where I can easily get overexcited! The little walk to the city centre from the Xenon Estate where we stayed, normally takes about 10 minutes, but for us it took…. almost 2 hours! There is just something so magical about this place, we had stop at almost every single door, plant and stick at the side of the road to take a picture. A huge thank you goes out to Nora, who has been such a great sport supporting me with my obsession with the amazing light and colors! I cannot wait to go back to Greece soon, I’d absolutely love to shoot a wedding there some day!
