I know that Paris is not famous for its gorgeous weather, so it was almost expected that we’d have to do our engagement session in the pouring rain with Agi and Gaspi. 😉 (Ok, it’s December, it could have been worse!) These two were real troopers though and we managed to frolick around the Trocadero area, hop into a carousel and make it work, but in the end we were all very happy to finish our session inside, in the cafe of the Hotel de l’Abbaye, where we chatted over coffee and hot cocoa and enjoyed one of those special moments, that you can only have on the day of your engagement shoot! 😉 I hope to be back in Paris for a spring/summer engagement shoot soon. It must be beautiful when the flowers are in bloom!
Archives for December 2011
I though today would be a great day to tell you a little bit more about myself. I love to share my work with my blog readers, but I also think that it´s very important that you get to know me, the girl behind the lens. Choosing a photographer for your wedding day is a big big decision and I truly believe that having someone with you who you like and trust, is in straight correlation with the quality of work they will produce. It´s simply easier to have fun and capture naturally stunning images on your wedding day if you jazz well with your photographer! There are many many great photographers out there but here are a few things that make me me…. 😉
It was a lot of fun putting this post together! I´m thinking about making it a series! Yeyyy! What do you think? 😉 In the meantime please check out my about page if you still can´t get enough of me! ;D (ok, that goes probably only for my mum! ;))
Let me just start by saying how much I adore these two. Agi has been one of my best friends since our business school days and I could hardly contain my excitement in the last few months while I was preparing to surprise her in Paris on her birthday with an engagement shoot. Pfff, no wonder I could not keep their engagement session in one post… part two is coming soon 😉 but for now here is their story in a nutshell…
It all started with a desperate phone call. Agi was trying to get into Dubai to start her new & exciting job overseas, there was just one thing she forgot… to get a visa. The company has sent a reliable young man to the airport to try to help her out… Gaspi. It was several months before they first met (no, she did not get in) but than eventually Agi moved to Dubai and started working with Gaspi. First they were only colleagues, then friends than they both started to feel that there is something more in the air. Gaspi dazzled Agi with his intelligence and caring self and Gaspi slowly started to fall in love with this headstrong, beautiful Hungarian girl. When the company decided to assign her to a new country they both quit to pursue a new life and a new love in the city of lights, Paris.
They found a cute little home for themselves and decided to conquer the world, one country at a time. They traveled all over from Bali to Uzbegistan (no kidding!) and in the summer of 2011, in New York, Gaspi asked Agi to make him the happiest man on Earth and marry him. She said YES!
Agi & Gaspi are one of the most happy couples I know. They simply complete each other. Their wedding will take place in Budapest next year and I can hardly wait to be able to capture their big day! Love you both!
A while ago I’ve explained my photoshoot theme process, starting with an inspiration board (see post here), but it’s been a while since I posted an actual board. In reality I normally have custom folders in Pinterest but don’t always put them together as cohesive collages! 😉 My first engagement session in Paris went fabulously and I loved using these pictures for inspiration and location scouting! Cannot wait to share the final images with you tomorrow, and until then “A Bientot”! 😉
Haleigh and Emilie has been BFFs for over a year now. Like most romantic stories these days, theirs started online as well. They bonded over their love for fashion, Paris and Starbucks chais and today they are cooking some fierce plans to found their company together. The details are super top secret, but having met these two gorgeous ladies I bet their new venture has something to do with fashion. 😉 I met them on a gloomy December day in the bohemian Marais district of Paris, to snap a few pictures for their websites. We chatted about boys, fashion, entrepreneurism and many other random things over quiche and freshly squeezed fruit juices and we just had enough time to snap a few before the evil Parisian rain forced us to finish early. It has been such a pleasure to meet these two and I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us in 2012. Good Luck Ladies, I have no doubt that you’ll make it!
