As the guests were gathering in the hotel lobby to board the minibus to Masia Ribas – Anna & Darryl’s wedding venue – everyone had their fingers crossed… it just started drizzling… by the time we reached the venue the raindrops became crocodile tears and we could hardly look out of the bus. I have never seen such rain in Barcelona, but as they say… the more rain on the wedding day, the more lucky the marriage will be and if it’s any indications, Anna & Darryl are in for one merry go lucky marriage! 🙂 Their wedding was rainy but oh so lovely nonetheless… we could say it was a true mixture of Scotland, Ireland and Barcelona…
Masia Ribas is one of my favourite wedding venues in Barcelona, it’s beautiful inside and out and the careful attention to detail of its owner Elisabeth is just unparalleled, it’s always such a joy to return! (you can see some of my previous weddings here and here). Although most of the plans had to be changed last minute to move the ceremony and aperitif inside, under the expert hands of Carole from Marry me in Spain, everything turned out drop dead gorgeous. The flowers and decorations from Phlox were stunning to say the least, the beer cart was a huge hit and the polaroid guest book went down a blast as well. Thank you Carole for your continued support… I was so proud to document this wedding!
You can see more of this flower infused rainy but very happy Barcelona wedding on Ruffled and the August print issue of Wedding Flowers & Accessories UK.
