Bye Bye February!

Seriously, can someone please tell me what has happened to February? This month has gone by in a blink of an eye and I actually caught myself saying to someone yesterday “Let’s do that sometime in February!” Whaaaaat? Yeah I kind of though we were still in January… I know, I know. This has been a relatively relaxing month for me before the big spring/summer storm hits. I’ve also been sick for more than a week (thanks for all your sweet get well messages) but now I’m back to 100% and excited for what March has in store! Spring, I’m ready! COME!

Lifestyle Portraits in Barcelona | Ana Sting Part One

Ana is no stranger  to this blog as I´ve shot her several times in the past already (see here). She is a fabulous fashion blogger/stylist who asked me to collaborate with her for shooting for her blog. It´s tremendous fun to photography someone as stylish and as sure of herself as Ana. She sure knows how to work it and I´m happy I could contribute to her gorg blog. As we shot so many fierce outfits I decided to break them up in to two separate posts, so keep your eye on part two coming muy pronto!

Spankin New Camera Bags

Guilty as charged! ;) After my post about my favorite camera bags I realized that I do need to invest in some pretty bags for the upcoming wedding season. My excitement has only increased when I found out that I can actually purchase a lot of my favorites in Europe and hence I don´t have to worry about the horrific delivery costs or the taxes that US shopping entails. PhotoQueen sells a great selection of Kelly Moore, Shootsac, JoTotes and InCase bags and I couldn´t be more happy with their service and super fast and cost effective shipping. I bought the Kelly Moore LIBBY bag for traveling and carrying all my gear and the Shootsac for running around lighter during my weddings. I cannot wait to try these new babies out! ;D HAPPY MONDAY!

Photo Tips & Tricks Nr 3. | Using Different Perspectives

Here we go with my weekly photography tips and tricks. (if you missed the previous posts you can check part one about shooting through a window and part two about back lighting) Today I wanted to talk a bit about how choosing different, unusual perspectives can add that little extra to your images. I personally love to shoot from above by placing my clients on the ground. I find that these pictures are flattering and unique and some of my favorites of my clients! The only thing to be careful is to instruct your subjects about stretching their necks so you would avoid the dreaded double chin. It’s not the most comfortable of positions I know, but it is always worth the little extra effort. Go try it out this weekend. Me personally I’ll stay bundled up in bed with my lemon tea still riding the flu train. Have a sunny weekend everyone, spring is just around the corner!

Featured

I get super hiper excited every time my work gets featured on wedding blogs, so you can only imagine how happy I was waking up this morning to find two of my shoots featured on two beautiful blogs! ;)

First up, Denis and Olya´s engagement session was featured on Fly Away Bride. (remember these two? ah it was one of my favorite engagement sessions ever! see part one here and part two here)

It´s wonderful to have blog friends/supporters in the industry and I´m honoured that Kelly from the Boho Wedding Blog has decided to share my bridal boudoir shoot with you all! ;)

THANK YOU Pamela & Kelly! You´ve made my day!
