If time and budget permits I always try to advise my clients to schedule a post wedding portrait session. There are various advantages, one being that you don’t have to leave your guests during reception hour on your wedding day, you can be creative with where and when you want to do the shoot, not to mention that a day or two after the wedding we are usually able to capture much more relaxed, natural images than on the day of the wedding. Let’s face it, for most brides the actual wedding day is very stressful, with little to no sleep the night before and often it can be hard to let loose for the pictures, not to mention that sometimes we just have a few minutes due to various schedule variances or due to the lack of light. If you’re a bride and photography is very important to you, I’d say book a post wedding session and give yourself the chance to get as much milage and breathtaking pictures out of your wedding experience as possible.
These images of Emily and Gael were taken the day after their wedding. I couldn’t be more thrilled with how these pictures turned out.
