Olivia + Krisztian | Wedding Photography in the hills of Hungary

Olivia has been a close friend of mine for ten years now. We met when we were both teenagers, working our way through college as hostesses. She is one of those friends who is always there, always kind and always has a big smile on her face. When I got the news that her long time boyfriend proposed I jumped from joy and there was just no way I’d have let anyone else take their wedding pictures! ;) I truly enjoyed being virtually by her side throughout the whole wedding planning process, thinking about dresses, veils and locations and I am honored, humbled and happy to have been able to share the entire day with her. Photographing weddings is special, but photographing a friend’s wedding is super special  (have to keep trying to remember not to cry but shoot! ;) ).

Olivia and Krisztian got married in a little village in the Hungarian Matra hills. Their day was perfect, full of sunshine, great friends and close family. As Krisztian works in the wine business you can imagine the abundance of great wine throughout the day, that even made a not-so-big-wine-fan’s (like me :) ) mouth water. Thank you for letting me be part of your love story. Thank you for being the awesome couple you are and thank you for such a beautiful wedding!!I hope you’re having the time of your life on your honeymoon in Portugal!

Her is the story of your day:

Olivia designed her dress herself with the help of Eni Horn. Her pink pumps provided the perfect accent to a classic and beautiful dress:

Olivia’s birdcage veil was simply lavish. Girl you are stunning. Your natural beauty radiates, for real! The colorful bouquet was beautiful and matched perfectly Olivia’s pink pumps. Such a brave but outstanding choice. Most of the wines on the reception were from Olivia’s parents vinery or from the vinery that her now husband manages. All I can say is hmmmmmmmmmmm… Their “5 puttonyos” Tokaji Aszu was the sweetest, richest wine I’ve ever tasted! This was the view from the hotel where the dinner and party was held. Breathtaking, to say the least. For their portrait session we escaped to the forrest and found a cute little clearing where the light was just right. I love it when my couples choose locations that truly reflect their personalities.
