I heart Ibiza

OH MY GOD. Where to start? I´m in love! Yes, I´ve fallen totally head over heals in love and it was so unexpected it literally blew me away. Don´t get me wrong, I always imagined Ibiza to be a megacool place but I´ve also associated the island with drugged up pale yet burnt tourist in their early twenties, loud techno drumming on the street and Playboy bunnies balancing in the sand in their mega high heels. Well, it is partly true… there are lots of people from all kinds of races and nations and sexual identity but somehow they all melt together in a wonderfully exotic, unique mix of hippie coolness I´ve only experienced in Thailand before. I also envisioned that Ibiza must be very similar to one of those typical Costa Brava tourist towns lined by ugly ugly skyscraper hotels, bars promoting English cuisine (I mean really?) and girls gone wild on bar tables.  Now in this sense I was very wrong. Ibiza is really a beauuuuutiful island, with history, a quaint litte old town, nice narrow cobblestone streets, big avenues lined by trees in bloom and a very truly Mediterranean feel. Is the island all about partying? YES it is! I don´t know if I´ve never seen so many cherry logos in a day (which is the symbol of Ibiza´s most famous nightclub, Pacha). It´s everywhere! In fact I even acquired a cherry logod bag myself (it was a gift from a wonderful new client of mine! So thoughtful. ;) ), which makes me weirdly happy. However if you´re not into the nightclub scene, trust me, you´ll love Ibiza anyway! I don´t know why I never visited before, but I can tell you, from what I´ve seen today I´ll be back really soon… and I can only imagine the übercool places, mountain views, sunset lounges I could discover if I´d have a bit more time to dig deep. It´s days like today that make me so appreciative of my job. I can´t believe that I get to experience this, and its part of  what I call my work. I have tears in my eyes just thinking how lucky I am. Not metaphoric… real actual tears through which I can hardly see what I´m typing right now. Nough. I gotta go get lost in the pre nightlife crowd, drink a glass of chilled sangria on a warm terrace watching the sunset, maybe indulge in some ice cream and get ready for island hopping to Formentera tomorrow morning. Stay tuned! ;)

I can only agree! Ibiza is amazingly beautiful! I’ve only been there once, but the landscape and the sea are so beautiful. There’s no other word for it. If you have the time, take a boat to Formentera… it’s not far and it will blow your mind. They have the whitest sand beaches you’ll find in Europe.
    Have a great time! :)
