Castell San Marcal Wedding – Ravi & Tori

Photographing a wedding at Castell Sant Marsal has long been on my wishlist so I feel super fortunate that I got to work there not once but twice this past season. And let me tell you.. it was everything I expected it to be and more… just a short drive outside of Barcelona nestled between ancient trees and fields lies one of the most beautiful castles in the vicinity of Barcelona… an absolutely breathtaking wedding venue if you ask me! If my excitement for the location would´t have been enough I fell madly for my first couple I photographed here as well… Ravi and Tori.

R&T has an international love story for the books, (English girl meet Canadian/Indian guy in Dubai) and a crowd of friends that made sure that no eyes stayed dry, no cups empty and no squarefeet of dance floor unused. Once they told me where they were going to get ready, I knew we were gonna get on like a house on fire… Soho House is my work place, my gym, my social circle and the fact that they were in that circle already made us connect instantly. The urban coolness of Soho House matched perfectly the castle grandness of Sant Marsal and I was truly amazed by the attention of every single tiny tiny detail both by the couple and Sonia from Yes I Do weddings. From the first second to the last my heart was fluttering, my camera smiling and happy dancing inside. It´s couples and weddings like this that make me so very dang proud and happy for my job…. Ravi and Tori thank you for opening your arms and world for me and I can´t wait to catch up in Dubai sooooooon!!! 🙂 You truly ROCK!!!!!

Casa Felix Wedding Photography – Stephanie & Ian

Casa Felix has become one of my favourite locations to shoot around Barcelona throughout the years (see for example HERE and HERE :)) and it was the venue for my very first wedding of 2017 this past Saturday as well! :))) Being back in this absolutely gorgeous setting reminded me that I still haven’t posted Stephanie & Ian´s perfect day from last August…

For this rustic/classic destination wedding Steph & Ian wanted to mix simple, elegant aesthetics with lots of greenery and light summery colors while putting the emphasis on creating a lighthearted and fun celebration for their friends and families. They pulled off the perfect summer fete and I LOVED every minute of it……

Castell Peralada Destination Wedding – Lauren and Eddie

Fine art wedding photography is a realtively new term in Barcelona and if you need any clarification of what it means, look no further then Lauren & Eddie´s gorgeous Castle Peralada wedding. Beautifully curated details, soft, pastel tones captured on film (in my case Fuji 400h), lots of sunshine but most importantly MUCHO AMOR. Where did we first meet

I used to be a bar maid in a local pub and Eddie used to come in at the weekends when he was home from university, to be honest I wasn’t his biggest fan as my boyfriend at the time worked behind the bar and Eddie used to try and chat me up! Years later when my best friend started dating one of Eddies friends are paths crossed again, he took me out on a date and we instantly just clicked, the rest is history!

How did he propose

Eddie took me away to Dublin for the weekend for my birthday! We went out for a lovely meal and on the way back to the hotel as we walked through St Stephens Green he got on one knee and asked me to marry him! I said yes instantly!

Theme for the wedding

Boho glam: I really love the laid back soft finishing of bohemian styling but as I was getting married in such a grand venue I wanted to make sure that this style suited the surrounding so made sure it involved a bit of sparkle. The colour scheme wasn’t too thought out, I wanted something that wasn’t too regimented, something soft that suited the summer lighting!

A beach castle wedding at Castell Tamarit – Andrea & Karim

Andrea and Karim flew to Barcelona all the way from Canada to get wed at their dream venue… the Castell Tamarit. And boy, Talk about a dream venue…. castle… check… mediterranean sea… check… lucious gardens… check…. beautiful deco… check…. check check check. Its truly one of those places that destinations dreams are made of and I couldn´t have felt more privileged to share their absolutely perfect wedding day with them. It was truly the joining of two families that love each other tremendously. Two completely different cultures united by love….. mais OUI! A truly en route experience! 🙂

The Costa Brava Wedding of Diana and Brian – EL FAR

This season started and ended in a whim, hardly had time to blink before it was over and now I sit here in a cozy cafe, with a macbook full of photographs, a head full of new memories and a iphone contacts full of new friends…. sigh sigh sigh…. this season has been one for the books and I cannot wait to finally show you all the prettiness, all the cool couples, all the amazing locations and bombastic providers I got to work with…. let us begin!!!

Diana and Brian’s wedding was the most perfect way to start my wedding season 2016. It was that picture perfect destination wedding that most couples who plan to wed abroad dream of….. pastel prettiness (I shot it mostly on film :)), gorgeous sea views, delicious Spanish food and most of all, so much (happy) tears and laughter that my face still hurts if I think of them (not that I ever cry on wedding… uhummmm). Brian…. I hope you don’t mind me saying, but you were one of the cutest, most in love grooms I’ve ever seen (and I’ll never forget the look on your face when you saw her walking down the steps :)) and Diana…. to say you were a vision would be a major understatement… its brides like you who discredit my work as it seems like I’m hiring professional models to work with!!! 🙂 Well if any doubts, Diana is a real WOMAN to the bone, gracious, happy, kind and just radiantly beautiful…. I have nothing else to say than THANK YOU for having me and letting me tell your story through my lens…… forever yours x
