“Some things are meant to be” was the title of Gabby’s first email to me and I couldn’t agree more with her. (yeah Gabby!!! we both agreed that we haven’t met many people with the same name… u see why it was meant to be? ;)) Aaaanyway, after that first email exchange I knew that we would click right away and I was excitedly looking forward to shooting Gabby with her husband Peter in beautiful Barcelona. The gorgeous momma of 3 (can u believe it?) is a photographer herself in the Netherlands, which just added more to my excitement of shooting them. It always makes me happy when people like my images, but when a fellow photographer hires me to take pictures for her…. it makes my pride swell so big that it almost bursts out of my chest. Thank you Gabby for putting your trust in me and thank you both for being so fierce and fun! My camera loooooved you!
Sometimes photoshoots just happen… You meet a girlfriend for a coffee, then Mr. boyfriend shows up with the kids, the sun just starts to disappear on the horizont, the creamy golden light illuminates our faces… its moments like these that I’m happy that I carry my real heavy camera with me all the time! 😉 I captured this beautiful spring afternoon in Berlin last week, with two of the cutest and most modelesque kids out there!
Photographing kids can be hard, they get bored quickly and I only have so many funny faces to make them laugh, but these two were actually enjoying posing and fooling around for the camera and it shows!!! Thanks lil monsters for working it for me! 😉 You are superstars!
P.S: Have you recognized gorgeous momma Angi from this previous lifestyle shoot? 😉
You might recognize Petra from last week’s family session where I snapped her with her adorable kids. What you probably didn’t know that Petra is not only a fierce mommy but also a yoga teacher! She asked me to snap a few pictures for her soon to launch website and I was more than delighted to capture her in some pretty body twisting poses. To tell you the honest truth I’m not a big fan of yoga… I love the idea of calming my mind while working my body and search that balance inside that we all crave so much, but I just can’t do it. Every time I go to a yoga session (and I’ve tried in many different studios in 3 different countries…) I feel like
I have wasted my time I could have done some serious workout instead. I know I know yoga can be hard workout and its a fantastic form of exercise, but it’s just not my cup of tea (unfortunately) and I’ve accepted that I’m not becoming a yogi any time soon! For now I just stick to my high intensity spin, kickboxing and weight lifting classes and keep giving yoga another chance every once in a while. 🙂 Maybe one day…
Happy Monday to you all! I have been really busy lately, which means that I have a ton of exciting new shoots to share with you this week (but I better to get back to editing right away)! 🙂 I just wanted to pop by to say hello to all my online friends and to give you a sneak peek from a lovely mother + kids session I shot in Berlin last week. (Look at those eyes!!!!!!!!! LOVE) More to come soon…
