I was 15 when I met Zeynep in an English language camp in Malta. We were roomies and spent 2 unforgettable weeks living the teenage dream, sightseeing, tanning, partying (good old times :)). Fast forward more than a decade (oh god!) when by a twist of faith both the girl from Istanbul and the girl from Hungary ended up in Germany. We picked up where we left off and have become great friends again. It always makes me smile when I think about how many friends I have all over the world. We may not be talking very often, there may be
decades years of gaps in our communication, but it’s comforting to know that whenever we meet again, it will feel like we have just met the day before. Gotta love Eurolife! 😉
For Zeynep’s session we chose the famous Mauerpark as our location. We wanted to have a urban feel, so the long stairs and glass walls of the nearby stadium in addition to the graffiti walls of the park seemed to be an ideal choice. You should have seen the happiness on Zeynep’s face when I showed her the final pictures! That moment, that joyful expression makes me keep going and makes me all teary eyed with happiness that I can be a photographer.
